Also while working in series the tendency to keep from getting bored with the repetition leads to experiments.  Sometimes the experimentation is extreme and will often lead to big new ideas or enormous yet necessary failures.  Other times the experimentation is more subtle and tends to be for the amusement of the artist only.  This is the case with this painting where I pushed the color a bit and tried a few playful things with the brushwork.  I let myself loosen from the attempt to get a precise likeness and instead just tried to see what happens.
