One of the things I really enjoyed about painting this series was exploring the color of each quadrant of the panel.  This was most apparent near the horizon where it shifted quite a lot from pale-orange to orange-pink and finally getting yellow-white on the left. To me this is one of the most important aspects of a painting; how the left/right, top/bottom and middle sections can be shifted in various ways with color.  During this series I learned a lot about the importance of planning this early in the process so as to make things easier later on.
